Texas A&M head coach Billy Gillispie and Memphis head coach John Calipari were asked afterward about jobs that are coming open nationally. Questions were fueled by Kentucky head coach Tubby Smith announcing Friday he was headed to Minnesota after 10 years with the Wildcats. "I don't worry about that," Gillispie said. "I'm honest with my players." The reporter followed up his first two questions by asking Gillispie if he talked to his players about it at the end of the game. "Would you?" Gillispie asked. "Goodness, gracious." Calipari stopped the reporter in the middle of the question. "Please, please, stop," Calipari said. "I'm not looking. I'm so happy with what's going on and where we are and this program and what we're doing. NBA jobs, high school jobs, college jobs ... I just don't deal with them. I'm coaching where I am. I've been here seven years, and I was leaving every year."
