Iowa State women's basketball coach Bill Fennelly has 18 Big 12 Championshp victories, the most among active coaches.

A&M's women lost their first game this season wearing their home gray uniforms. They are 18-1 in the home grays.

The early arriving crowd for the second game of the women's Big 12 Championship on Thursday at the Cox Center were fans of Oklahoma and Baylor.

And Iowa State.

As the Sooner and Lady Bear fans entered the arena, they began cheering for the underdog Iowa State Cyclones. Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale even gave Fennelly a hug after his Cyclones beat A&M, just as she had after Iowa State beat Nebraska in the quarterfinals Wednesday.

Iowa State hit a season-low two 3-pointers in its first victory over A&M earlier this season. The Cyclones made 2 of 12 in their 61-54 victory over the Aggies in Ames, Iowa, on Feb. 14. They hit 10 of 26, including 10 of their first 20, on Thursday night.

The A&M women are 3-11 all-time in Big 12 tournament games.
